Field Day 2024 started off on Friday, when a few members decided to start camp set-up a day early. It also gave them some time to do some POTA, dip toes in the river, and enjoy the weather before the anticipated stormy weather began.
Attendance was pretty good and despite the hot temperatures and storms late Saturday night, everyone had a wonderful time. Seems the Field Day event is always plagued with storms and this year was no different. At one point, there was a river running through the camp, even underneath the canopies. You can literally see it in the "feet in swampy grass" picture.
Food was wonderful. Many thanks to Patti Hill for her wonderful meal, and to Brian Rudnick for stockpiling canned raviolis. All very enjoyable.
Thanks to all our visitors, we appreciate you. The entire event was full of great camaraderie and great contacts. John says to join us for FD2025 - he will see you there!
