Our first outside presentation, INTRODUCTION TO AMATEUR RADIO, which was held at the Cicero Public Library, on February 24, 2018.
Many thanks to the crew at the Cicero Public Library for help along the way. Also a tip of the hat to those members in our group who donated radios and paraphernalia for our presentation display at the library. We received much attention from our display which was set up by John, KD9BYW. We were so very happy to see such a good sized crowd for our very first outside presentation. We hope to have lit a spark somewhere in that room of interested "future" amateur radio operators!
The best part about doing outside presentations? Meeting new faces, and we met quite a few nice ones on this day.
When it was presentation time, we certainly tried our best. This was our first time, we explained...then we all went up to bat, and swung for the fences. It was great fun, and we think everyone went away learning something from the experience.
